Keto Hot Chocolate – Low-Carb Alternative

Everyone loves a nice warm cup of cocoa. Nothing warms the belly quite like it during the winter time.

What’s more important than that warm wintery goodness, is sticking to your diet! Keto is highly restrictive. That means sugary hot cocoa is out of the question.

With a few tweaks, we can make a pretty similar tasting cup of hot cocoa that reduces the carb count from 30 grams, to 4 grams.

Here’s the recipe.

  • 1/3 cup of whole milk.
  • 2/3 cup of heavy whipping cream.
  • (heat the liquid before you add the powder)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder.
  • 1 1/2 of monk fruit sweetener.

Warm in thirty-second intervals stir vigorously. Boom! You have a nice home-made Keto cup of cocoa.


The nutritional macro information:
-8g Fat
-4g carbs
-4g protein

Obviously, don’t drink a ton of this. One serving is only 1 measuring cup. It’s Keto friendly because it has little to no effect on your macro intake. Be sure to keep an eye on that to ensure you don’t go over!
